Multicar Preparer Booking Form and H&S Checklist

APPLYING FOR A 'MULTICAR PREPARER' SPACE IN THE PADDOCKS

At Silverstone Festival, each grid is allocated a number of pit garages from which race cars will be run. You are required to complete this form and H&S checklist if you are doing either of the following:

This form and H&S checklist must be completed by Friday 8th August for access to be granted to Silverstone Festival for your multicar preparer team.

Stages 1 and 2

There are two stages to this form (both must be completed before access is granted):

PLI and RAMS

Prior to completing the booking form and H&S checklist, please ensure you have electronic copies of the following documents ready to upload. Please note that if you do not have these ready you will NOT be able to submit this form. If you leave the form at any stage, your data may be lost and you may have to start from the beginning.

- Public Liability Insurance covering at least £5 million (this is NOT the same as Employers Liability Insurance).

- Risk Assessment (if you do not already have a risk assessment, please click here to download a template).

Crib Sheet for Temporary Structures

To support your application, click here to download a crib sheet for temporary structures. This provides useful information for the completion of the H&S checklist.

Site Access

Please note that multicar preparers will NOT be permitted access to the event site if the booking form and H&S checklist are NOT completed and all relevant documents are NOT submitted for approval. Arriving onsite without providing these documents will delay your entry. Access will NOT be granted until all documents are provided and reviewed for approval by our H&S team.

Should you have any queries, please contact Morgan Clarke by email: competitors@silverstone.co.uk or telephone: 01483 524 424.

BOOKING FORM

Allocated Space and Access Times

Pre-booked multicar preparers will be allocated a plot in the relevant paddock or support paddock on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st August under the direction of the Paddock Manager and their teams.

Access for multicar preparer set up will be during the following hours:

  • Wednesday 20th August: 11:00 – 20:00
  • Thursday 21st August: 07:30 – 20:00

Arrival Instructions

On arrival at the circuit multicar preparers will be asked to form an orderly queue in Car Park 50A before being escorted to the relevant paddock area. Please note that pit garages are not available until 19:00 on Wednesday 20th August.

Accreditation

For access to the venue, you will need to have your TEAM wristband (with QR code). Competitors will receive an allocation, so please make sure you have been given yours. The TEAM wristband will allow you access every day, Wednesday through to Sunday. TEAM wristbands also still provide access to race admin, the pit lanes and the competitor campsite. If you are arriving before any of the competitors whose cars you are preparing, then they will need to have sent you your TEAM wristbands beforehand or you won’t be able to enter the venue.

Any team mechanics arriving without a ticket, including on set up days, will be need to purchase one at Customer Corner before being allowed access to the site.

As usual, vehicle passes will be issued on arrival and are limited to the space available in each paddock and support paddock area. Pre-booking does not guarantee a space. Multicar preparers will be directed to arrive and queue up in Car Park 50A via Entrance 10 off the Dadford Road (see map). From there each preparer will be escorted from 12:00 (midday) onwards on Wednesday by the Silverstone Festival Paddock Management Team to either the National or International Paddock. Transporters will be designated a space in the relevant paddock or support paddock and an “officially parked” pass will be issued. All trailers, transporters and other trucks not in use during the weekend must be parked in Competitor Trailer Parking. Please note, motorhomes are not permitted in either paddock.
